Beatrice Irene Montgomery, 93, long time resident of Independence, MO died Sunday, June 29, 2014 in Chula Vista, CA. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
Beatrice was born December 11, 1920 in Garden City, MO as one of four children to Louis F. and Rosa M. (Crouse) Fehrman. She graduated from William Chrisman High School where she had run track. Beatrice then married James W. Henry, Sr. in 1939 and together they had three children. She was a homemaker whose family was very important to her. Beatrice was a longtime member of the Waldo Ave Baptist Congregation where she was the Superintendent of the Young People’s Department for many years. She also attended Blue Ridge Methodist Church where she was active in their singles social group, which was a great support after the loss of her first husband. She also enjoyed supporting her sons as their Cub Scout Den Mother. She is remembered for her love and will be missed.
Beatrice is survived by sons, James W. Henry (Elizabeth) of Chula Vista, CA; and Jon W. Henry (Carol) of Vero Beach, FL; daughter, Sharon R. Siron (Larry) of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Andy and David Henry, Chris Siron, Crystal Dean, and Paul Henry; great grandchildren, Danielle and Jacob Henry, Ethan and Aiden Henry, and Caleb and Carli Dean. She was preceded in death by brother, Louis Frank Fehrman; sisters, Frances Fehrman and Christine R. Wright.
