Lila Mooers

Lila Marie Mooers, 66 of Blue Springs, MO, passed away, Sunday, November 30, 2014 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A graveside service and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Lila was born September 26, 1948 in Des Moines, IA to Wayne and Margaret (Hahne) Schoen and spent her early life in Des Moines graduating from East High School in 1966. She had worked in housekeeping for The Groves Retirement Community. She enjoyed puzzles and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband Steven L. Mooers on September 1, 2012. She is survived by; 3 sons, Steven W. Mooers and wife Crystal of Blue Springs, MO, Brent D. Mooers and wife Wendi of Independence, MO and Troy M. Mooers of Independence, MO; a sister, Linda Oldenburger of Colorado; 11 grandchildren, Scott Mooers, Christina Mooers, Janelle Mooers, Mercedes Mooers, Austin Krantz, Taylor Mooers, Skye Mooers, Trenton Mooers, Cloey Mooers, Garret Mooers, and Braeden Mooers; 2 great grandchildren, Elianna Blackman- Mooers and Winterlynn Elena Marie Krantz.
