Troy Michael Mooers

Troy Mooers, 43, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 25, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A visitation will follow the service from 4-7pm.
Troy was born on July 28, 1975 in Des Moines, IA to Steven and Lila (Schoen) Mooers. He was a graduate from Blue Springs High School. For over 12 years now, he has worked for Sprint Corporation. Troy would light up a room when he walked in, he was always smiling and happy. He liked to play guitar, cook bacon, and drink Bud Light. He wasn’t afraid to dance in the living room with his daughter and niece or cheer loudly for the Royals and Chiefs. Most of all, Troy was a family man and loved his daughter more than anything.
He will be remembered by his daughter Mercedes Mooers of New Orleans, LA; brothers Steven Mooers and wife Crystal of Blue Springs, MO, Brent Mooers and wife Wendi of Independence, MO; Mercedes’ mom Ginger Mooers of Oakland, CA; grandmother Bernice Mooers; 5 nieces; 5 nephews; plus several other extended family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandfather.
