Frances Louise Witthar Moore, 83, passed away on July 7, 2016. A Rosary will be said on Monday, July 11, at 5:30pm, with visitation following from 6-8pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 12, at 10am at the chapel, and she will be laid to rest in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Dover, MO. Contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice in her honor.
Frances was born on Oct. 11, 1932, in Dover, MO, to Leonard and Bertha Hoeflicker Witthar. She married Ralph E. Moore on January 4, 1949, and celebrated 67 happy years of marriage together. She was a longtime member of the Altar Society at Church of the Santa Fe in Buckner. She had a passion for Tennessee Walking horses, and raised several over the years. She enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, making wedding cakes, researching family genealogy, and above all, spending time with her sons and grandsons at their sporting events.
Frances is survived by her husband, Ralph, of the home; sons, Michael (Lynn), of Key Largo, FL, Stephen (Paula), of Indep., MO, and Gary, of Indep., MO; and seven grandsons, Damian, Tyler, Ryan, Aaron, Eric, Lance, and Jake. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Donna.
