James P. Morgan

James P. Morgan, 72, Independence, Mo. passed away June 22, 2005 at Independence Manor Care Center. A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held at 11 am, Monday, June 27, 2205 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. Visitation will be 4 - 6 pm, Sunday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. James was born Feb. 22, 1933 in Charleston, Ms. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War Era. James earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Colorado. He was a law enforcement officer for several municipalities during his career. James is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Louis & Julie Morgan, Indep. Mo; Arthur & Susan Sullivan, Aztec, NM; daughter and son-in-law Dottie & Steve Marshall, Bloomfield, NM; son James R. Morgan, Water Valley, Ms; sister and brother-in-law Ocean and Tommy Kendal, Charleston, Ms; and grandchildren David Ashcraft, Amelia Ashcraft, Lacey Ashcraft, Taylor Pass, and Jessica Kressig.
