Kimberly Sue (Ward) Morgan, 51, Olathe, KS formerly of Independence, MO passed away unexpectedly Jan. 17, 2016. A Celebration of Kim’s Life will be at 3 pm, Sat, Jan. 30 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will begin at 2 pm before the service at the chapel. The family requests that any floral tributes be potted plants. Kim was born Nov. 7, 1964 in Wichita, KS and graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1983. After attending SMSU and Penn Valley Community College she earned an Associates Degree. She was an extremely hard worker who started working at T.G. & Y. while still in high school. She later worked for Life Touch Photography and traveled the Midwest taking school pictures. She most recently had worked for A.I.G. Insurance for eleven years. She was a Barbie Collector and enjoyed photography and the Chiefs but most of all loved spending time with her family- particularly her nieces and nephews.
Kim was preceded in death by her father Chuck Ward. She is survived by her husband of twenty years James “Pat” Morgan, of the home; mother Sue Ward, Sugar Creek, MO; sisters Kelly Hall, Lee’s Summit, MO; Kathy Russell and husband David, Gypsum, CO; brother Matt Ward, Independence, MO and many other family members.
