Ruby Fay (Lesh) Morgan, 88, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Ruby was born April 19, 1926 in Independence, MO the daughter of Floyd and Flora (Snethen) Lesh. She worked as a preschool teacher for ten years with Downey Duck Preschool. She was a past member of Eden Heights Congregation and a current member of the Heritage House Community of Christ. Ruby volunteered for over 35 years, working with the youth in the church. She enjoyed quilting, puzzles, board games and reading scripture.
Survivors include her children, Kathleen Moore (William), Venda Hunter (Barre), Norma Sinclair, Patricia Church, Bill Morgan (Linda), David Morgan, Michelle Phillips (David) and Carol Scheibner (honorary daughter); grandchildren, Clint Moore (Paula), Darrin Moore (Melody), and Bryan Moore (Wendy), Krista Droke (Matthew), Katie Hensley (Chad), Matthew Hunter (Hillary), Douglas Hunter (Mary Beth), Holly Sinclair, Nathan Sinclair (Emily) and Heather Sinclair, Brent and Austin Church, Thomas Morgan (HaRim), Stephanie Arnold (Allan), Amy Loving (Bret), Savannah Morgan, Morgan Phillips, Emily Irr (Greg); great grandchildren, Molly, Madison, Emma, Henry, Hudson, Anderson, Elijah, Genevieve, Kylee, Keegan, James Russell, Baby Boy, Lilah, Liam, Lochlann, Gabriella, Nash, Madelyn and Perry; sisters, Leah Thompson, Mary Yahnig, Lucy Scherer; and additional family and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband E.L. “Lucky” Morgan in 2006; her twin, Raymond and brothers, Wilbur, Leonard, David Lesh; sister, Florence Hallett.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage House McCoy Kitchen.
