Virginia Mae Morgan, a woman of faith, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She was 93. Virginia was born to Edward and Lillie Lindermyer on July 22, 1928 in Non, Oklahoma.
At a young age Virginia found and married the love of her life Calvin and spent the next 59 years making memories together. Virginia was always a hard worker. She spent many years as a timekeeper at Lake City Ammunition Plant before retiring in 1985. Following that she proudly ran 3 group homes for mentally challenged individuals and provided them with care and compassion for over 20 years. Virginia loved people, enjoyed being a caretaker and always put the needs of others first. She was an artist, painter, quilter and an incredible seamstress. She enjoyed square dancing, baking wedding cakes and traveling with her cousin when time would allow. Her infectious smile will be missed greatly by so many family and friends.
Virginia is survived by her children, Steve Morgan (LaDonna), Jerry Morgan (Joan); grandchildren, Stacey Rictor (Dave), Chad Morgan, Shanna Garner; brothers, Edward and Louie Lindermyer and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her beloved husband, Calvin; daughter, Joyce Morgan; sister, Carolyn Walker and brother, George Lindermyer.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 15th from 1-2pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Her funeral service will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
