George W. Morris, 69, of Sunrise Beach, MO passed away November 20, 2006 in Jefferson City, MO. Services will be Saturday at 3:00 pm, November 25, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Interment in Buckner Hill Cemetery. The visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service time. George was born in Independence, MO on June 26, 1937, the youngest son of George W. Morris and Edna Schuster Morris. His mother died when he was 5 years old. Since his mother became ill shortly after his birth, his three older siblings, Norma, Maxine, and Stewart, were his primary caregivers. After his mother�s death, Inez Davis Morris, became his stepmother and was a great influence in his life. G.W. graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1955. He was always working on cars and motor scooters, and had overhauled several by the time he was eighteen. In 1955, he drove the hottest 1951 Oldsmobile in Independence. After high school G.W. served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict, from 1959-1962. In 1977 he married his best friend and companion, Wanda Buchanan. To complete the family 2 sons were born, Brian in 1978, and Jason in 1981. G.W. took great pride in his sons, celebrating their achievements and accomplishments. G.W. is preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, and a son Michael. Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Wanda Morris of the home, sons Brian Morris and wife Adriana of San Diego, CA, Jason Morris and wife Jessica of Branson, MO, and 1 grandchild, Diego George Morris of San Diego. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, and Michaels 4 children.
