Moselle B. Morris, 98, Independence, MO passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, MO. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Private family interment will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to the Blue Springs Community Service League. Moselle was born February 11, 1918 in Putnam County, TN to C.J. and Harriett Ann “Hattie” (Pointer) Bullock. She had worked for 30 years as a secretary for the Independence School District at Three Trails Elementary School. She also volunteered her time at the Independence Sanitarium. Moselle enjoyed gardening, canning, traveling to Hawaii and Branson as well being a good cook, especially fried chicken. She is survived by; 3 sons, Charles E. Morris and his wife Martha, James William “Jim” Morris and wife Debra, Frank T. Morris and wife Lynne; a son in law, Jewell Welch; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Morris in 1978 and a daughter, Paula Ann Welch.
