Harold Morrison

Harold "Gene� Morrison, 77, of Raymore, MO went home to be with his Lord August 21, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Grandview Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.. Burial will be in the Raymore Cemetery. Gene was born on November 28, 1927 to William and Anna (Mercer) Morrison, in Sedalia, MO. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a truck driver with American Freight System for over 25 years retiring in 1988. Gene was a member of his church for 30 years, was very active, and always willing to lend a hand. He took great pride in the appearance of his yard. Toy poodles have always held a special place in his heart, and leaves behind his pet and companion, "Angel�. Gene is preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Morrison; brother, Bill Morrison and wife Nana, sister-in-law, Juanita Morrison. Left to cherish his memory, His beloved wife of 53 years, Ruth of the home, daughter Linda Henderson and husband Marvin of Raymore, son, Micheal Morrison and wife JoAnn of Nixa, MO; Grandchildren Amy and Erik Henderson; Matthew and Melissa Morrison; Mother-in-law Winifred Turner of England, brothers Forest Morrison, Clyde Morrison and wife Audrey, Lawrence Morrison and wife Mary; sisters, Gertrude Herigon and husband Ernest; many nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Church or Kansas City Hospice.
