Jerrald Wayne Moss, 39, met his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 28, 2014 after a long battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Jerrald was born January 7, 1975 in Independence, MO the son of Jerry Wayne and Shirley Louise (Cooper) Moss. During his teenage years he was a newspaper carrier for the Independence Examiner. He was a 1993 graduate of William Chrisman High School and attended Longview Community College. Jerrald worked as a truck driver for Mid-Continent Paper Company till his health did not allow him to work. He was a charter member of Reach Out Missionary Baptist Church. Jerrald enjoyed being outdoors, following NASCAR and he had a contagious loving personality and loved life.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Cuba Cooper; paternal grandparents, John H. and Alma Moss.
Survivors include his loving wife, Christine Moss of seven years; parents, Jerry W. and Shirley L. Moss; sisters, Tamara Moss-Martin, Tracy Moss; niece, Miranda Martin; and additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 150 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Reach Out Missionary Baptist Church; 4811 S. 7 Hwy, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Lindley Prairie Cemetery, near Stockton, MO.
