Bill was born March 19, 1939 in Bakersfield, Missouri. He was the son of John and Madge (Holland) Mullins. He was the 5th of 8 boys. Bill graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1958. In 1959, he was drafted into the Army where he served his country while stationed in Alaska. He later returned to Kansas City, Missouri and went to work for Roadway Transportation as a truck driver. He retired after 33 years and earned several awards including, the “2 million mile accident free” award. In 1976, Bill met the love of his life, Connie (Triplett) Walters. They were married for 43 wonderful years. Bill obeyed the Gospel soon after he married Connie and was a steadfast and faithful member of the Lord’s church. Bill was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a kind and gentle man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing and sports. Bill had such a giving spirit and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need or share vegetables from his garden. He was a wealth of knowledge and always had time to help you solve whatever problem you might have. He expressed himself with a language all his own and we can only hope his funny expressions will live on in all of us.
