James Harold Musick

James H. “Jim“ Musick, 85, Independence, MO passed away Nov. 25, 2017. Services will be 2 pm, Thur., Nov. 30; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. The family requests contributions to St. Luke’s Hospice, 3100 Broadway St, Kansas City, MO 64111.
Jim was born Jan. 27, 1932 in Tulsa, OK. He worked for the Packaging Company of America for thirty-seven years before retiring in 1987. He then began a ten-year career as a janitor for the Independence School District. He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and watching Westerns. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Mary Musick, brothers Ike, Bud, Aaron, Anthony and sister Althia. He is survived by daughters Brenda Tillery, Sugar Creek, MO; Twila Kaeding and husband Durwood; Alana Dudley and husband Louis, all of Independence, MO; children from a previous marriage daughter Jamie and son Michael; brother Tim Driller and wife Nancy, Kansas City, MO; sister Ann Weiss and husband LaVerne, Independence, MO; brother Bob Driller and wife Marilyn, Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
