Darlene M. Myers

Darlene M. Myers, 78, of Independence, MO passed away on January 21, 2006 at her home after a long battle with cancer. A visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, at Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Darlene was born on June 26, 1927 in Kansas City, MO to Elmer and Rose Ocheskey. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Sgt. James Myers in 1987; and her daughter, Christine R. Laws in 2005. She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth, David and Jamie Myers; one daughter, Janice Cramer; one brother, Donald Ocheskey; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, David Kelley, Rachel Cramer, Jessica Myers, Lexie Buchanan, David Myers, Jr. and Jayme Myers; as well as 3 great grandchildren.
