Sharon Myers, 68, of Independence, Mo, passed away Sunday morning, September 30th, 2012.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday October 6th, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E 39th Street Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00-8 p.m. Friday evening at the chapel. Burial at Mt. Washington.
Sharon was born January 25, 1944 to Lester and Mildred McCormick. In 1965 she married her husband David L. Myers. Together they raised two children. Sharon worked for Western Electric, AT&T, and now Lucent for 33 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of Independence Christian Center, ICC, for 17 years. Sharon was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. “You will be missed and loved forever.” Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda McGrew; and son, Christopher Myers.
She is survived by her beloved husband of the home; daughter, Shelly Robertson of Sibley, MO; grandchildren, Justin and Taylor Robertson; and great grandson, Caden Robertson.
The family encourages donations to American Cancer Society 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Independence MO 64050.
