Bill Myers, 92, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. A visitation for Bill will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO with services at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Private family graveside service at a later date. Contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans. Bill was born December 22, 1919 in Kansas City, MO to parents William (Sr.) and Elizabeth (Hamilton) Myers. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Lieutenant Commander on the U.S.S. Caldwell. Bill retired in 1986 from his job as an accountant for the Environmental Protection Agency and enjoyed traveling with his loving wife, Helen Myers who preceded him in death in 2009 after 64 years of marriage. He was also a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, loved photography, bird watching, bowling, the MU Tigers, and big band music. Bill is survived by daughters and their families: Debbie and Terry Robb and children Kristina and Sam, Susan and Gary Kensinger and children Jeff and Justin, Nancy and Warren Brown and children Michael, Amanda, and Mallory, and Jane Ann Myers.
