Nancy Jane Glauner, 83, passed away on April 21st, 2024 in Independence, Missouri. She was born on 26th of December 1940 in Independence, Missouri and adopted by George and Mary Gee.
Nancy grew up in Independence, Missouri. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence in 1958. After high school she continued her education at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa where she received an Associate Degree in music education, graduating in 1960. She worked as Certified Nurse's Aide, for Resthaven Nursing Home for three and a half years; Drove for Harmon Bus Company for six and a half years; worked for Kansas City Star newspaper for three years and was a housewife to Walter Wells Fox for 26 blissful years until he passed away in 1987.
Nancy married Nolan in 1996 in Independence, Missouri after both had lost their spouses. They were happily married for 27 years. Nancy was a member of Independence Symphony and played the Cello. She also sang in the Auditorium Messiah Choir. She directed choirs at various assemblies of the church and church camps.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Catherine Fox, and Sarah Sieker; sisters, Carol Cain and Linda Doran; five grandchildren, Axle Fox, Angel Fox, Annie Fox, Angus Fox and one great grandson, Aeden Smith.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nolan Glauner; son, John Charles Fox; sister, JoAnne Masten; brothers, John Masten and Harry Benjamin; and grandson, John Fox.
A graveside service will be held at Lobb Cemetery on Thursday, April 25th at 2:30pm.
