Nancy Jo Reynolds, a cherished soul whose kindness and love touched the hearts of many, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. Born on September 17, 1936, in Jerico Springs, Missouri, Nancy embodied a warmth that radiated through her family and friends alike. Throughout her life, she nurtured meaningful connections and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Nancy worked for ATT for several years, then at The Paint Pallet before retiring from Gragg’s Paint.
Her dedication to her family was her proudest accomplishment. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy delighted in cooking and crafting, always finding joy in creating special memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was a haven of laughter, love, and shared experiences, where family game nights brought everyone together, fostering bonds that would endure through generations.
Nancy's gentle spirit and kind nature reflected in her relationships with her siblings, extended family, and close friends. She had an innate ability to make those around her feel valued and cherished, weaving strong threads of affection in the tapestry of her life. Her nurturing presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will continue to inspire those she touched.
She is survived by her beloved children, Jillayne Ann (Rory) Ritchie, Michael Reynolds; grandchildren, Kirsten (B.J.) Stafford, Amber Cranmer, Bailey (Casey Middleton) Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Lyndsey and Kelsea Paul, Max Stafford, Ayla Stafford, Skylar and James Cranmer, Eliza and Makayla Middleton; sister, Donita (Bill) Mills; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will carry her memory forward. Preceding her in death are her husband of 51 years, Billy Max Reynolds, and her parents, Ray and Annabel Morris, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
A visitation to honor Nancy's life will be held on August 30, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Speaks Suburban Chapel, located at 18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055. A funeral service will follow from 10:00 AM at the same location, culminating in a graveside service at Anna Edna Cemetery in Jerico Springs, MO, where guests are welcome to meet there, beginning at 2:00 PM.
