Gerald W. “Jerry” Naylor, 81, passed away on February 14, 2015, in Richards, MO. He was born on December 1, 1933, in Kansas City, MO, to Loren E. Naylor, Sr. and Emeline (Moffatt) Naylor.
He was a student of KC East High School, and later served in the Army. He was stationed in Germany where he met his wife, Margareta. To this union was born a son, David. Jerry worked for Ford Claycomo plant and retired from there after many years of service. Auto mechanic, animal lover, and loved spending time with his grandkids, he was rarely idle. Above all, he was a family man.
He is survived by his son, David (Charlotte) Naylor; sisters, Waneta Richwine and Wendy (Ray) Keys; grandson, Riley; granddaughter, Alexis; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margareta; sister, Dolly Young; brother, John Naylor; and his beloved dog, Shadow.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, at 2:00pm, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
