Janice June (Anderson) Neidig, 70, of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Donations may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice House. Janice was born June 11, 1943 in Independence, MO to Edward Ishmal and Velma Elizabeth (Carney) Anderson and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a wage grade for the IRS for over 21 years until she retired in 2003. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed cake decorating, painting, dancing and was a sports fan. She is survived by; her husband John Neidig, Sr. of the home; 2 daughters, Robin Neidig Buttress and husband Babe of Blue Springs, MO and Kelly Nichols and husband Gregory of Kansas City, MO; a son, John D. Neidig, Jr and wife Lorri of Blue Springs, Mo; 2 brothers, Edward Wayne Anderson and wife Shirley of Independence, MO and Norman Dean Anderson and wife Linda of Blue Springs, MO; 8 grandchildren, Kayci, Abbey, Amanda, Natalie, Kathryn, Braedon, Emma and Benjamin and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
