John David Neidig Sr.

John Neidig, Sr. passed away February 26, 2018 in Blue Springs, MO. Visitation will be 9-10 am Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Carson-Speaks Chapel with funeral services following at 10 am at the chapel.. Burial will take place in Floral Hills Cemetery. John was born on September 21, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to Maurice and Louise (Frank) Neidig. After high school John joined the Navy where he advanced to the rank of SM3. Soon after his discharge he went to work for Ford Motor where he remained for the next 39 years. John was a very giving person that never met a stranger, was always willing to help anyone that he could. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and restoring old cars with his son. Survivors include; daughters Robin Neidig-Buttress and her husband Babe and Kelly Nichols and her husband Gregory; son John Neidig and wife Lorri; grandchildren Kayci, Abbey, Natalie, Kathryn, Braedon, Emma and Benjamin; a large extended family and many friends. John is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 52 years, Janice Neidig and a granddaughter Amanda Nichols.
