Larry Nesbit, 71, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007 at his home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64052 . Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Larry was born August 11, 1935 in Kansas City, MO to Eldon Sterling and Clara Pauline (Morgan) Nesbit. Mr. Nesbit founded, owned and operated Universal Inspection Survey, Inc. since 1962. He was a hard working man who loved to spend weekends at the lake with his family. Larry enjoyed playing cards and spoiling his dogs, Dolly and Baby. Mr. Nesbit was close to his step-father, Robert DeVaul, who raised him. Larry is survived by his wife, Judy (Diffey) Nesbit of the home; children Barbara Hausey and husband Ernest, Daniel Nesbit and wife Carla, all of Independence, MO, Diane Thresher and husband Harry of Belton, MO, Beverly Lewis of Blue Springs, MO, Richard Nesbit and wife Rayna of O�Fallon, MO; step-children Anna Peugh, Trisha Lintz, David Peugh and wife Tammy all of Independence, MO; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters Judy Thornton of Hamilton, MO, Mary Cecilia DeVaul of Mammouth Springs, AR; brother John DeVaul of Kansas City, MO; many extended family and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Patricia in 1970; first son Robert Allen in 1956; sister Yvonne Miller in 2007.
