Thuc Thi Nguyen, 94, Independence, MO died Oct 21, 2016,.Visitation 9-10 am, Tuesday at Church of the Holy Martyrs, Mass at 10 am, at church. Inurnment will follow at Mount Moriah Cemetery. The family request contributions to American Heart Assoc. Greater Kansas City Chapter, 6800 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, KS 66212. Thuc was born Feb. 22, 1922 in Hanoi, North Vietnam and came to the United States in 1990. She was a member of the parish at Holy Martyrs and was involved in the Ladies’ Group at church. She is survived by son Dac T. Le Tran and wife Dung, Vietnam; daughters Phu Tumy, Independence, MO; Angela Le; Hong Dinh and husband Thang, all of Houston, TX; Hai Le, Leesburg, VA; Phuong Dung Choromokos and husband James, Wheaton, IL; son Le Nguyen and spouse Todd Sullivan, Independence, MO; thirteen grandchildren and many other great-grandchildren and other family members.
