Amanda “Paisley” Nichols, 25, of Kansas City, MO passed away on September 12, 2017. A visitation will be 6-8pm on September 18, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be 10am on September 19 at the chapel.
Amanda was born on April 5, 1992 in Kansas City, MO to Greg and Kelly (Neidig) Nichols. She blossomed during her 3 years living in Japan, which influenced her future interests and she had already accomplished so much in her life. In high school she earned many awards in journalism. She graduated from NYU with a Bachelor’s in East Asian Studies and Journalism. She was fluent in 3 languages: English, Japanese, and Chinese. While in New York, she served internships at HGTV and Food Network. In her free time she loved to read, write, watching movies, animé art and Marvel Comics. Most of all she loved spending time with her siblings and family.
Amanda will always be remembered by her parents Greg and Kelly Nichols; sisters Natalie and Kathryn Nichols; brother Braedon Nichols – all of Kansas City, MO; paternal grandmother Mary Nichols; maternal grandfather John Neidig, Sr.; aunt Robin Buttress and husband Jim “Babe”; uncle John Neidig, Jr. and wife Lorri; aunt Stacey Smith; cousins Kayci and Abbey Buttress, Emma and Ben Neidig; plus several other extended family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Harvester’s.
