Laverne K. Nitzsche

Laverne K. Nitzsche, 80 died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the care center in John Knox Village. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will follow the services. Donations to Kansas City Hospice. Laverne was born August 25, 1925 in St. Louis, MO to Victor and Caroline (Buck) Kurt. She was a homemaker and devoted wife. She was married to Ray O. Nitzsche on June 7, 1943; he died on January 3, 1987. Survivors include: 2 sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Susan Nitzsche of Independence, MO and Robert R. and Peggi Nitzsche of Blue Springs, MO; 6 grandchildren, David M. Nitzsche, Abigail Cole and husband Jason, Kristine Harter and husband David, Mark Nitzsche, Scott Nitzsche and Grant Nitzsche. Laverne also had 4 great granddaughters, Madelyn & Kathryn Cole and Sydney and Alyson Harter. Laverne was a dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
