Mike Njegovan

Mike Njegovan 92, formally of Sugar Creek, Mo, passed away January 14, 2006 at the Pleasant Hill Nursing and Rehab Center. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm, January 21, at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 409 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050, with a gathering of friends following the service. Memorial may be given the Church�s Preservation Fund Mike was born August 10, 1913 to Joseph and Minnie Njegovan in Iron Ridge, WI. He was married in 1939 to Maxine Allison, she passed away in 2003. He was an army veteran, serving his country during WWII. Mike was a hard working young man, starting his first automotive repair shop at the young age of 12. He owned and operated his own transmission service for 58 years. Never one to sit idle, Mike was also a skilled metal inventor, and enjoyed working with stained glass, and wood working. Mike is survived by his 2 daughters, Gina Njegovan, Kansas City, MO and Joy Phillips, Wichita, KS, three grandsons, Richard, Stephen, and Donald. He is also survived by13 great-grandchildren.
