Loyd W. Noble, 88, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away with his loving wife of 65 years holding his hand Thursday, July 09, 2009 at his home. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-3:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Loyd was born June 10, 1921 in Lancaster, WI to George and Gertrude (Dobson) Noble, one of twelve children. He graduated from Graceland College and the University of Kansas. Mr. Noble proudly served as a Naval Aviator during WWII. Loyd was a successful and admired insurance agent with State Farm for 30 years. The Nobles moved to Green Valley, AZ where they lived for 20 years after retirement. Loyd was an active member of the Community of Christ and attended the Pleasant Heights Congregation and most recently The Groves. Mr. Noble is survived by his loving wife, Grace E. “Betty” (Bown) Noble; children Richard Noble, Nancy Shields, Gary Noble and wife Barbara; five grandchildren Mollie Berry and husband James, Sarah Akolor and husband Doss, Lauren Noble, Holley Noble, and Eryn Noble; three great-grandchildren Kyla, Sasu and Walt; brothers Ralph Noble and wife Wilma, Stan Noble and wife Elsie; sister Carol Jeidy and husband Larry. Loyd was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
