Harry “Tuffy” Nolan, 69, of Pleasant Hill, MO, an avid auction-goer who was a collector of everything, and had a knack for finding things, passed away on February 22, 2022. He was 69 years old. Tuffy was born on April 27, 1952 in Chula Vista, California to William Nolan, Jr. and Patricia Nolan. All his life, Tuffy rode motorcycles, attended bike rallies all over the U.S. and rode with his father. On November 23, 1996, he married the love of his life, Sherri Sheley in Wheatland, MO. For almost 25 dedicated years, Tuffy worked as a sprinkler fitter for American Fire, and was a proud union member of the Sprinkler Fitters Local 314 in Kansas City, MO before retiring in 2009. Tuffy was a big kid at heart and had jokes for anything and everything. He was outgoing and was such a jokester. He was very generous and would always help anyone that he could. Tuffy built a Chevy Camero with Justin for his high school project. Tuffy’s son, Justin and his granddaughter, Izzy were his pride and joy. Tuffy was known for always having his friends around. Anyone who met him, loved him. He will always be remembered for having a huge heart for animals, especially his own pets and will be deeply missed. Tuffy is survived by his wife of over 25 years, Sherri Nolan; son, Justin (Ruechelle) Nolan; granddaughter, Izzy Nolan; siblings; Russ Nolan, Sherry (Steve) Manford, Lori (Steve) Enyeart, Nellie (Mark) Watkins, Russell, Thor and Jennifer Kaiser; uncle, Jim (Sharon) Welch; and many adored nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Nolan, Jr. and Patricia Nolan; and brother, Ron Nolan.
Cremation is planned and a Celebration of Life gathering to honor Tuffy will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at the VFW Post 1000 in Independence, Missouri, 1002 E. US Hwy 24, Independence, MO 64050.
