Norma Grace Ramsey

Norma Grace Ramsey, 94, of Independence, Missouri, passed away, Wednesday December 20, 2023.

Norma was born on January 15, 1929, in Hiwasse, Arkansas, the daughter of Harvey P. and Stella (Daniels) Duncan. Norma married Doy C. Ramsey on June 13, 1946, and from their union 2 children were born.

Norma was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and spent many years in dedicated fellowship where many special friendships were made. She enjoyed traveling with her family, camping, fishing, exploring sites and spending time with loved ones. Norma was an avid reader and spent many hours gardening and tending to her veggies and flowers. She was an expert seamstress, quilter, and crocheter. Family members cherish the craftmanship of the pieces she made for them on special occasions. In her later years Norma babysat for her grandchildren and her great grandchildren which created loving bonds, special memories and beautiful relationships. Norma’s strength, faith, love and kindness will continue to inspire those whose life was touched by knowing her and she will be deeply missed.

Norma is survived by her children, Carl Wayne (Terry) Ramsey, Caren Kay (Gary) Lusso; 4 Grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, John Duncan; many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doy Ramsey; parents, Harvey and Stella Duncan; siblings, Dorothy Banks, Louise Edgmon and Dennis Duncan.

Memorial Services for Norma will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 500 S Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64050.
