Jerry Novak, 88 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away, Sunday, May 21, 2017 at his residence. Memorial Mass will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church 11231 Chicago, Sugar Creek, MO 64054. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday at the church. A reception will follow the Mass immediately in the church basement. Inurnment will full military honors will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2017 at Mound Grove Cemetery Mausoleum. Donations may be made to Morning Star c/o Father Angelo or to Poor for Jesus Christ c/o Friar Benjamin. Jerry was born March 17, 1929 in Sugar Creek, MO to John and Anna (Tkacsik) Novak and has been a lifelong resident. He had worked at the Amoco refinery in Sugar Creek for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Cyril’s Catholic Church. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include; his wife of 61 years, Katherine of the home; a son, Randy Novak of Sugar Creek, MO; 2 daughters, Karen Novak and Jean Marie Kaiser and husband Howard of all of Liberty, MO; 2 grandsons, Michael Dye and wife Alisha and Brian Kaiser and wife Samantha; 4 great grandchildren, Eli, Faith, Ellie and Grace.
