Marylee Nunamaker

Marylee Nunamaker, 85, Independence, MO passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Marylee was born October 29, 1927 in Garden City, MO the daughter of Hershel and Ada Mae (Baker) Lord. She had worked for Hawthorn Café, Lake City Ammunition, and Lifetouch Studios before retiring. Marylee enjoyed going to the casino with her daughter, being outdoors and was always busy doing something. Most of all, Marylee loved being with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Nunamaker, Sr., in 1984; son-in-laws, Dennis Smith, and Wayne Cherry; two sisters; and one half brother.
Survivors include her children; Danny Nunamaker and wife Juanita, Susan Smith; John Nunamaker and wife Virginia, Annetta Cherry, James Nunamaker, Jr., and wife Cheryl and Lance Nunamaker and wife Patricia; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
