Joan Alta Nutter (Snell)

Joan Alta Nutter, 89 of Lee's Summit, MO passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at John Knox Village Hospice. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo 64055. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Private burial will be held in East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico, MO. Joan was born November 18, 1932 in Paris, MO to Fred G. and Leta E. (Duncan) Snell. She graduated from high school in Paris, MO and later from the University of Missouri. She had worked as a supervisor for the Department of Defense. She is survived by a son, Ronald I. Nutter of Lee's Summit, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband James I. Nutter in 2021.
