David Leroy Obbink

David Obbink, 65, of Independence, MO passed away May 25, 2019. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday at the Chapel. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. David was born on July 7, 1953 to Jack and Dorothy (Lynch) Obbink in Independence, MO. Over 37 years ago he married the love of his life, Deborah Elaine Jones. After 38 years of service David retired from the Kellogg Company. He was a member of Pleasant View Christian Church. In his spare time you would always see David with a Word Search puzzle book. David is greatly loved and will be forever missed. Survivors include: wife Deborah Obbink; son Eric Obbink and his partner Daniel Campos; parents Jack and Dorothy Obbink; brothers John and Tom Obbink; sister Jane Bennett; extended family and friends.
