Florence Olendorff, 99, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Monday, April 26, 2004 at Hidden Lakes Care Center in Raytown. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church with a rosary and visitation preceding, starting at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet. Donations may be made to the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund. Florence was born April 14, 1905 in Leicester, England to William and Maria (Breward) Cherry. She spent her early life in England where, during WWII, she met and later married Wilfred Olendorff. They moved to the United States following WWII and settled in the Kansas City area where she was a homemaker and charter member of the Kansas City Garden Club. She was also a member of the Nativity of Mary Catholic Church. Her husband preceded her in death in 1991. Survivors include; 3 sisters-in-law, Virginia Allman of Independence, MO, Betty Olendorff of Prairie Village, KS and Evelln Streight of Fresno, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
