Brandon Hollis Olson, 43 of Kansas City, MO passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday evening at the chapel.
Brandon was born April 27, 1977 in Leon, IA to Peter and Gail (Schoff) Olson. He graduated from Quince Orchard High School in North Potomac, MD. He served as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy from August 1995 through September 2000. Brandon returned to Kansas City and studied at UMKC, where he received the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key award, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. He had worked in agriculture, and was currently working as a licensed medical cultivation expert.
He enjoyed nature, loved all animals, and was a friend to the environment.
He met Lauren (Brehm) in 2010, they began dating in 2011, and were married on October 10, 2015.
Survivors include Lauren, and his beloved dogs Frank and Kelso, along with a host of other animal children; his parents, Gail Zaccaro (Steve) of Virginia; and Peter Olson (Colleen) of Ohio; his grandparents Wardell and Shirley Schoff; 3 brothers, Jared Olson (Brittany) of Colorado, Sheldon Olson (AmaLynda) of California, and Justin Olson of Virginia; a sister, Jennifer Olson of Kansas City, MO; his mother-in-law, Dolores Brehm, his brother-in law, Ronnie Brehm, and a large loving family including several nieces and nephews.
Brandon will also be dearly missed by his closest friends who will remember his sense of humor, innate intelligence, his love of gaming, woodworking, and infinite artistic talents.
