Patsy Sue O'Neal (Allwood)

Patsy Sue O'Neal, age 82, of Independence, MO passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at
Centerpoint Hospital, Independence, MO. Patsy Sue was born July 20, 1939 to Glendon and
Lillian (Donus) Allwood. She was a graduate of Carrollton High School. On September 1, 1957,
in Carrollton, MO, Patsy Sue married the love of her life, Teddy Dean O'Neal. To this union, they
were blessed with four children, Rusty, Ronnie, Kathy and Kenny.

Patsy Sue and Teddy were co-owners of “All Season Campers” in Independence, MO. She was
a member of the Lutheran Church. Patsy Sue was actively involved in all activities of her children
She supported them through Boys Scouts and Brownies. Patsy Sue never met a stranger & loved
talking and working with people. She enjoyed working in the First Day of Stamp Issue Department
(USPS) and with Olan Mills. Patsy Sue was proud of her family and loved family gatherings.

Patsy Sue is survived by her children, Ronnie Gene O'Neal and wife, Sandy of Buckner, MO; Kathy
Darlene Thornton and husband, Larry of Pleasant Hill, MO and Kenny Joe O'Neal and wife, Andi of
Independence, MO; Ten grandchildren, Shawn O'Neal, Ellen O'Neal, Chrissy Stark (Corey Gage),
Michael (Erin) O'Neal, Amy (Chris) McPherson, Randy (Tiffany) Thornton, Aspen O'Neal,
Kurtis (Megan) Cheatham, Kori (Madyson) Cheatham, and Kelsi (J.J.) Unrein.
Seventeen great grandchildren, Drakkar, Karlee, Stormy, Kayden, Jesse, Hunter, Sophia, Lane,
Gracelyn, Reed, Trevor, Mackenzie, Ethan, Cole, Allie, Delaney and Dalton; sister, Ina Pedersen
and husband Virgil; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Allwood, Deloris O'Neal, Carol Suddith, Patsy Shields,
Donna Lee, Marcella (Alan) Frederick, Jeanette (Jim) Whitney; brothers-in-law, Eugene (June)
O'Neal, Sammy (Joyce) O'Neal, Billie (Alta) O'Neal, Tommy (Bobbie) O'Neal, Jimmy O'Neal,
Rickey (Mimi) O'Neal, Bobby (Lou Ann) O'Neal, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Teddy (May 14, 2012) son, Rusty
Dean O'Neal, granddaughter, Amanda Sue Castro, grandson, Jason Dean Thornton, sisters,
Caroline Adkins and husband, Billy; Phyllis Bowlin and husband, Bill; brother, Wilmer Glendon
(Toad) Allwood, brothers-in-law, Jerry O'Neal, James Suddith, John Lee and Douglas Shields.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. & funeral services on
Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. – Speaks Buckner Chapel 300 Adams Street,
Buckner, MO 64016. Burial will follow in Buckner Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made
to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
