Barbara Gene O’Neil, 70, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2011 at her home.
A memorial service celebrating Barbara’s life will be at 6:30 PM, Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Salvation Army Church; 14700 E. Truman Rd. Independence, MO. Inurnment will be at 1:30 PM Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Barbara was born June 12, 1940 in Joplin, MO the daughter of James and Billie Loraine (Rhodes) Breckenridge. She was a Registered Nurse and spent nearly 20 years as a traveling nurse. She retired in 2009. Barbara was a member of the American Nurses Association and the Salvation Army Church. Barbara enjoyed watching football, sewing, cross stitching, and she worshiped her great grandson Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick in 2006 and her parents. Survivors include her son Patrick O’Neil; granddaughter, Tina Allison; grandson, Arron Barby; great grandson, Jordan Allison; sister, Betty Spurlock and numerous additional family and friends.
