Gwenda “Gwen” Sue Oneth, 66, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019. A visitation will be held from 7-9pm, Friday, February 8, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO 64055. Services will be 10 am Saturday, February 9, 2019 at House of Refuge Church, 10200 James A Reed Rd. Kansas City, Missouri 64134. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Gwen was born August 18, 1952 in Chillicothe, MO to Donald and Gwenda (Davis) Lamb. Gwen worked as an assembler at GE Transportation for over 30 years, before retiring in 2014. Gwen had an amazing sense of humor and enjoyed being with her family above anything else. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved spending time babysitting them any chance she had. Gwen also enjoyed gardening, being at home, crafting, playing games on her laptop, her pets, and traveling with her husband. Gwen is survived by her husband Mike Oneth; daughters Mica Oneth and Jeana (Pavlica) Young and husband, Roger; stepdaughter Nicolette Oneth; grandsons Cameron Young and Austin Young; granddaughters Bailey Young, Adelynn Valdez and Mila Lennox; her mother, Gwenda (Lamb) Cansler; and sister, Sheri (Lamb) Lester and husband, Derek. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Eugene Lamb; grandmother Allie Leona Rosson; and aunt Dorothy Elaine Kirby.
