Mary Elizabeth Orr

Mary Elizabeth Orr, 105, of Independence passed away Monday, February 7, 2005 at Rosewood Health Center. A graveside service will be 10 am Saturday, February 12th at Mound Grove Cemetery. Mary was born in Harlan, IA October 6, 1899. She was married to Fred A. Orr in 1921, and he preceded her in death in 1924. She was a resident of Independence from 1925 until her death. For 35 years, Mary worked and retired from the Independence Sanitarium and Hospital in the business office. She is survived by nieces, Mary Jane Adamson, and Katherine Carlile; nephews, Thomas Rorabaugh, and John Michael Resch; three great nieces; five great nephews; and many great great nieces and nephews.
