Paul J. Ott

Paul J. Ott, age 91, passed away on February 11, 2005 at the Missouri Veterans� Home in Warrensburg. Cremation. Private services are planned. Paul was born on November 27, 1913 to Paul Karl and Rosa (Kolrus) Ott in Chicago, Illinois and was a long time resident of Independence, Missouri. In 1946, he married Bernice A. Petru and they shared 50 years together. He moved to the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Missouri in 2003, and the family would like to express a special thank you to their staff. Paul served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II in the 741st Tank Battalion. He retried as a sales representative for several food brokerage firms. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice in 1996, and his brother Ronald A. Ott in 1998. He will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Paula & Don Sommers, Grain Valley, Mo; son and daughter-in-law Ronald & Pat Ott, Lake Winnebago, Mo; four grandsons, Michael Krawczyk & wife Kelly, Mark Krawczyk, Matthew Ott & wife Natalie, and Tyler Ott; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Bussen & husband Marty, Michael Sommers & wife Jane and Chris Sommers. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1300 Veterans Road, Warrensburg, Mo. 64093.
