James Michael Overbeck, 56, passed away on Sept. 14, 2016.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 1-2pm, with service at 2pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. He will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Michael was born on Oct. 25, 1959, in Kansas City, MO, to Bert Joseph and Marie Elizabeth Wisecup Overbeck. He graduated from Van Horn High School in the class of 1976, and then served in the Army Reserves. He was a line operator for Certainteed for over 28 years. In his spare time, he loved to gamble, play cards, shoot pool, and just have fun. His family remembers him as a jokester who never knew a stranger.
Michael is survived by his siblings: Marilyn Wait (husband, Junior), Dorothy Smith (late husband, Bill), Mary Ann Boulette (husband, Joe), Richard Overbeck (wife, Barbara), Wayne Overbeck (late wife, Gail), and Dave Overbeck (wife, Linda); and 14 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bert Joseph, Jr.
