Sharon Kay Overfelt (Wenom)

Sharon Kay Overfelt, 68, of Independence, MO passed away suddenly while traveling with her family in Mobile, AL on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. A private graveside will be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, Mo 64052. Sharon was born April 7, 1954 in Arnold, MO to Freeman and Dorothy (Oglesby) Wenom. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and loved ones. She enjoyed spending time at her happy place at the Lake of the Ozarks. Sharon is survived by; her husband, Tom Overfelt, a son Rick (Abby), daughter Brandi, stepson Tom (Carolyn), 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
