Aaron Christopher Overman, 34, of Buckner, MO, passed away March 27, 2015. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 2 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, at the chapel.
Aaron was born August 30, 1980 in Kansas City, MO to Richard F. Overman and Gina Ruth (Copenhaver). He graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1999. Aaron started working at 16 at Popeyes, then to Gas Mart, as well as Burd & Fletcher, and then expressed his strong work ethic as a Mail Carrier for the USPS for the last nine years. He married his beloved Alexa Kae (Sabin) on September 13. 2008. Together, they enjoyed going to shooting ranges, traveling, and going to the boat. He enjoyed guns, gaming, doomsday preparation, gambling, loud music and being with his family and friends. He participated in the Missouri Militia. Aaron adored his dogs Bella and Bonzai. His family remembers him as compassionate, teasing, loving, joking and always being a straight shooter. Aaron is loved and will be missed.
He leaves behind his wife, Alexa; his mother, Gina; father, Richard and wife, Kelly; sister, Heather Leigh and husband Kenneth Cornwell Jr. of Kearney, MO; nephew, Raymond Cornwell; parents-in-law, Tim and Janet Sabin of Lee’s Summit, MO; sister-in-law, Kaitlin Sabin of Kansas City, MO; stepsister, Ashlee Crider of Grain Valley, MO; paternal grandparents, Joann and Forest Overman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Deloras Copenhaver and infant brother, Christopher Ross Overman.
