Delbert Paul “Lucky” Overman Jr., 56 of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away October 19th, 2016 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Family will greet friends from 5-7pm Sunday, Oct. 23, with funeral service Monday, Oct. 24, at 2pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. He will be laid to rest in Mount Washington Cemetery.
Lucky was born in Kansas City, Mo. on January 14th, 1960, to Delbert & Judy Overman. He was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt Trucking Company for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing Solitaire, listening to 80s hair bands (especially KISS), and watching Nascar, the Chiefs, and the Royals. He was a man of few words, but loved his family, grandkids, and pets unconditionally.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 21 years, Bernita Marie Overman; his daughter Stacey Nicole Overman, his sister Candy Overman, and his dog Linus.
Lucky will be dearly missed by his family: partner, Donna Rounds of the home; his daughter, Kimberly Perkins (and husband, Chris) of Liberty, Mo; one brother, Chris Overman of St. Joseph, Mo; five sisters, Brenda Rainey (and husband Jimmy) of Aurora, Mo; Roxanne Robinette of Independence, Mo; Toni Overman of Independence, Mo; Deborah Ball of California; Teresa Smith of Dexter, Mo; and two grandchildren, BreAnna & Devon Perkins of Liberty, Mo.
