Alice Owens

Alice Marie (Klipsch) Owens, 77 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Northcare Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 at the St. John Lalande Catholic Church in Blue Springs, MO. Burial will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery. There will be a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21st, followed by family visitation until 8:00 p.m., at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055. Alice was born June 8, 1940 in Mitchell, SD to Arthur Paul and Helen (Snell) Klipsch. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and craft work, especially making angels. She was a member of St. John Lalande Catholic Church. She was married to Gerald Owens on November 18, 1961; he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, David Owens of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter, Teresa Garrison of Kansas City, MO; 2 brothers, Jerry Klipsch of Riverside, CA and Johnny Klipsch of Kansas City, MO; 5 sisters, Donna Stone, Beverly Hoffmeyer and Pauline Koch all of Florida, Jean Gorbet of Illinois and Robie Parnell of Mustang, OK; 2 grandchildren, Alisha Lavo and Evan Lavo and a great grandchild, Lauren Madison Lavo. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, a son, Robert E. Owens in 2009 and a grandson, Kevin Michael Hanson in 2008.
