Frances M. Pack, 94, Independence MO, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at the Regency Care Center. Ms. Pack will lie in state from 5-8:00 pm Saturday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa OK at 1:00 pm Monday. Contributions may be made to the Disaster Fund of the Kansas City Red Cross. A native of Oklahoma, Frances was born February 6, 1909 in Talaquah OK. Her family later moved to Muskogee where she graduated from High School. She attended the University of Tulsa and a local secretarial college. Afterwards, she began a long career as an executive secretary, serving several large companies during her tenures in such cities as Kansas City, Dallas, Phoenix, San Francisco, and New York City. Ms. Pack was also a world traveler and visited different foreign countries during her lifetime, from Europe to the Far East. In addition, she served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and read extensively. Ms. Pack was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Walter J. Pack, of Tulsa OK, and her sisters, Marian Pack Carl of Independence MO, and Elizabeth Pack Feer, of Scarborough, NY. She is survived by her nephew, Robert E. Carl, Dallas TX, and her niece Marilyn R. Carl, Kansas City MO.
