Grace Virginia Page, 96 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Luke’s East. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Blue River Church of Christ 221 NE Woods Chapel Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64064. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Tuesday at the church. Donations may be made in her name to the Blue River Church of Christ or Crossroads Hospice. Grace was born December 14, 1919 in Independence, MO to Arthur Oliver and Margaret Grace (Turnour) Hodges and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from William Chrisman High School. She had worked for the Probate Court of Jackson County, MO, Land Title Abstract Company and We Care Daycare for 18 years retiring at the age of 85. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who was active in Boy Scouts, she was a member of TOPS for over 39 years, she volunteered at MCI and was a licensed practical nurse for several years. She was a longtime member of Blue River Church of Christ. She was married to Walter A. Doty who preceded her in death in 1969 and later married Lloyd Page who preceded her in death in 2013. Survivors include; her children, Walter Alan Doty, Laurence Timothy Doty, Virginia Dianne Myhan and Margaret Lynn Elsbury; step children, Phillip Page and Rebecca Sissman; her siblings, Laurence Hodges, Jeanne Antes Rice, Carol Hansen and Kathleen Butterworth; 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Hodges and Florence Rosenquist.
