Margaret Palermo

Margaret Matilda Mary (Mattli) Palermo, 89, of Independence, MO, was called home to be with her Lord and husband Joe on Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be on 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 3736 Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055; entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 39th & M-291, Independence, MO 64055. Marge was born April 11, 1925, in St. Louis, MO to Helen and Joseph Mattli. She and Joe were married 54 years and raised five children. She was a member of St Marks Catholic church for 43 years and enjoyed volunteering there and Cancer Action and Sisters of St Francis. She was preceded in death by husband, Joe, and older sister, Laverne Brandt. She is survived by younger brother, Joseph; her five children and spouses, Mark and Mary Palermo, St. Louis, MO, Mary and Tim Kruse, St. Louis, MO, John and Kathy Palermo, Lenexa, KS, Dave Palermo, Independence, Karen Palermo, Independence, and Jane and Bruce Ford, Blue Springs, MO; 14 grandchildren and 11 great­grandchildren.
