Freda Jean Pallucca of Independence, MO was 84 and passed away Saturday, June19, 2021 at St. Luke's East Hospital. Cremation is planned with a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at 10 a.m. with Mass at 11 a.m. Both are to be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, located at 3736 Lee's Summit Rd, Independence, MO 64055.
Freda was born November 13, 1936 in Mulberry, KS to Elbert and Dorothy Long (Whetzell). She began working at Lipton Tea as a Secretary, then moved on to Mode O' Day as Executive Secretary to the President. After that she worked in Human Resources as a Secretary for the Jackson County Circuit Clerk's Office. She enjoyed reading all kinds of books, especially biographies and history of The Royal Family and The Kennedy's. She attended St. Mark's Church regularly.
She is survived by three children, Robert L Myers II and wife Cheryl of Oklahoma, Beverly J Prizzi and James Heverly of Kansas City, MO and Bret Myers and wife Tina of Independence, MO, two sisters, Sharon Mitchell of Oklahoma and Mavis Willey and husband Pete of Mulberry, KS, two brothers, Ronald Long and wife Bev of Liberal, MO and Robert Long of Pittsburg, KS, sister-in-law Ella Long of Independence, MO, a grandson, AJ Prizzi, three granddaughters, Jenny, Stacy and Shelby and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Long, Norman Long and a half brother Earl Long.
